Scope
What does "fixed scope" actually mean?
It means the package page's included/not-included lists are the whole agreement — nothing gets added later without a separate, priced add-on or a tier change, and nothing gets quietly dropped either.
What if my project doesn't match a published package?
Use the enquiry form at /contact/ and describe it. Most bespoke needs still map onto a package plus one or two add-ons; genuinely open-ended work becomes a Scale-Up Engagement, scoped individually.
Can I combine packages from different services?
Yes — add each package to the same cart and check out together, or describe a combined project through /contact/ if the combination needs custom coordination.
What happens if I want something a package explicitly says is "not included"?
Check the add-ons list first — several common requests (extra pages, copywriting, illustration, a second language) are already priced there. Anything else, ask through /contact/.
Pricing & payment
Are the published prices final, or a starting point?
Final, for the scope described. If your project needs more, add a listed add-on or a higher tier — both are priced the same transparent way.
Do prices include VAT?
No — all prices on this site are shown excluding VAT. Portuguese VAT (23%) applies by default at checkout; a valid EU VAT number from outside Portugal applies the reverse-charge mechanism at 0%; non-EU billing addresses are 0%, outside EU VAT scope.
How do I pay?
Through the checkout flow, in full, at the time of purchase. The current checkout uses a clearly labelled demo payment step — see the Payment step for exactly what that means.
Can I get a refund if I change my mind?
Depends on which stage the project has reached — see /refund-policy/ for the full, stage-based policy.
Timelines
How firm are the stated turnaround times?
They're the real target for each package, assuming assets arrive on the timeline described at Kickoff. If Kickoff is delayed on your side, the whole timeline shifts by roughly the same amount — stated plainly on /process/.
Can I pay extra to go faster?
Yes — Priority delivery slot (€450) moves your project to the front of the studio's queue for a faster start date.
What if I need something faster than any package's stated turnaround allows?
Ask through /contact/ — we'll tell you honestly whether it's possible, rather than promising a date we can't hold.
Ownership & data
Who owns the final files once a project is finished?
You do, once paid in full — full ownership and IP terms are set out in /terms-of-service/.
What personal data do you collect, and why?
Name, email, phone and billing address, used to deliver the project you've bought and to reply to enquiries — full detail in /privacy-policy/.
Is my data handled under GDPR?
Yes — arcdesignlabs is based in Portugal and processes personal data under the GDPR and Portuguese data protection law, with CNPD as the supervisory authority.
What analytics or tracking do you use?
Google Analytics 4, loaded only after you accept analytics cookies through the consent banner — never before, and never without your choice. See /cookie-policy/.
